The Gay Night
Santa Ana
,
Philippines
After spending the day making last minute preperations for The Gay Night after having a busy day at the resort as we had a conference that lastest a little longer than expected in the morning we were all ready.
Carla's first glamerous outfit- made out of a curtain!
We were secretly looking forward to it as we would get to see loads of the locals all dressed up and as the tickets were all given out it should have been a fantastic evening!
Carla and I
My job was to sell tequila to all the guests, although customeres only ever drink beer, so thought this would be quite a challenge!
Chris and Carla- perfect couple!
However, Carla, one of the members of staff who helped organised was the first and unfortunately the last person to turn up though!
Carlos and GeeGee admiring Carla's back!
So this was in fact very disappointing :( Somehow though, I still managed to see 45 shots to other customers here! But poor Carla was broken hearted and went to bed early after getting dressed up not just one but twice! :((

More tickets distributed
Santa Ana
,
Philippines
The kitchen staff
Today we finished distributing the rest of the tickets around the village and you'd be amazed just how many children there are per household! Once we finished we came back up to the resort and before we knew it, there were people coming up and asking for tickets 'as they were at the market'.
L-R Anna, Chris, Jarret and Mary-Jane
Word soon spreads around this place and unfortunately you cannot provide for everyone, but we still had around 100 more tickets requested for! It's so hard to say no to them though

Arranging for free clothes in Santa Ana
Santa Ana
,
Philippines
A guy posing with his cute little kid
Trev's sister sent a huge box of clothing for the poor people that live in Santa Ana. So today after arranging all of the clothes and sorting through them we went down to the children's clinic and then walked around half of the town giving out tickets to the small children and their families so they can attend on Sunday to Jotay and pick out some clothes.
Kids playing basket ball...
It was quite faninating and upsetting at the same time to see so many of the children here living in poverty but we can imagine it will be pretty chaotic on Sunday! Still many more tickets to give out though as we had over 380 items of clothing sent from the U.K, which cost over £150 just in postage!

Last night we met a friendly couple Melissa and Jordy with tiny 5 month baby Jill who said we could join them on a fishing boat to another nearby island to visit a lighthouse with some breathtaking views.

We had a lovely day after some climbing we went snorkelling again, but unfortunately I looked down and I was surrounded by loads of jellyfish! They really hurt! I don't think I have swam so fast in my life to get away from them!

A visit to Saint Anthony's College
Santa Ana
,
Philippines
This morning Trevor took us to Saint
Anthony
's College which is ran by the Order of Franciscan
Sisters
and today a group of voluntary army doctors and dentists came here to give free medicaton to the poor people of Santa Ana who cannot afford any medical treatment elsewhere in the town. This is because all the doctors and dentists in The
Philippines
are private so many people come here to seek medical assistance.

The sisters are so tiny, cannot imagine them using this!
Absolutely no idea how they fitted this jeep in a tiny room!

Trev and Sister Irene
It was a great morning and we were treated as V.I.P guests and the
Sisters
gave us free food and a tour of the museum as Trev is quite a celebrity here!
