Legless and Toothless
Holbrook
,
United States
Came into town in darkness without a room booked. First place we tried (Desert Inn) had no rooms according to the legless proprietor (? 'Nam veteran), who suggested we try next door (
Holbrook
Inn). There, the dentally-challenged, stetson-wearing female owner offered a room for $40 (including something extra which I misheard, but turned out to be "tax"). Her ? daughter appeared to have an interested look in her eye. I inspected the room which smelt strongly of disinfectant, and politely declined the room to which she replied "I don't blame you". Most of the doors opened whilst I was inspecting the room so the other freaks and geeks could check me out. I'm sure I heard banjos playing in the background...
Found some where better without the possibility of nocturnal visitors down the road apiece.

Getting My Kicks...
Kingman
,
United States
The whole reason we're here : Route 66.
Whilst we stayed in Santa Monica (one end of "the Mother Road"), our musical odyssey really begins here in
Kingman
. On and off 66 from here to
Amarillo
, Texas.
Choc shake @ Mr D'z served by Venus. Felt like we were appearing on Happy Days. Needless to say there were Harleys in the parking lot.
