What we didn't realize when we landed was that we had 30 minutes before our next flight took off. Our gate was 3 terminals away. Had to get on a shuttle and commute to the other side of the airport. We got there with 15 minutes to spare, but they had already closed the door. FANTASTIC!  We immediately went to the ticket counter where we learned that the next available flight from Atlanta to LA was at.... 6:45pm TOMORROW! .....WHAT???? 

So we wound up with 2 hotel vouchers, 3 meal vouchers each, and 3 free drink tickets for our flights. We definitely don't think this compensated us enough since we also had to contact our hostel in Sydney to try to change our reservation.... No word back yet because of the time change. We tried to call the customer care line for Delta but of course it was already closed for the night.

We also have no new clothes for tomorrow since our luggage is all cooped up in storage at the airport. Here's to wearing the same clothes for 48 hours. Yum. 

Needless to say we aren't off to the best start. Small price to pay for 10 weeks in paradise I guess. My plus to staying in America for one more night is now I get to watch The Hills and The City. Guilty pleasure that I'm going to miss while away.
