Highlighting flights

Here's a suggestion.
In my opinion it would be great to have an option (dropdown) next to each city saying:
Arrived via:
- Plane
- Surface (Bus, Train, Ferry...) <- default

If you select "Plane" the line on the map (connection the previous and the current city) would not be straight but a little bend (upwards)... signaling that it was traveled by plane. (Maybe even in another color and a little plane-symbol in the center.)
You could do something similar with distances that were travel on the sea (Ferry, ...).

Just an idea!
