Woke up this morning to hear Chris and Ian’s excited plans to go sea fishing on Ian’s boat! Thinking this sounded like an awesome idea, I was soon informed that unfortunately this was a ‘boys-only’ trip and due to our car only having 2 seats in, I was out numbered and thus left behind to have some ‘me-time’ to catch up with things, which suited me just fine!
They came back quite a few hours later with 4 fish between them, 2 snapper and 2 kahawai ( a silvery kinda sea trout), which of course meant fish for dinner.
They had a great time out on the boat but their fishing was impacted including having to rescue some guys that had run up on the rocks due to steering failure. In fact that boat had gone to pick up a snorkeller who was spear fishing and a shark attacked his fish. He got spooked and asked them for a ride back and then they broke down. A double rescue really!
