I am planning on taking a trip that has me walking from the southern most tip of that Appalachian Mountain range through the Canadian Border at the Northern most tip. I am planning on doing this trip in 2011 with a co-worker and maybe my department manager. I am thinking to myself: "Your flipping NUT!!!!" the reason why I am thinking that is because of my shear physical size of nearly 300 pounds at this time (8-17-2009).

I am hear to get ideas and tips from those who have done this trek before me. I will be going on mini trips to get geard up properly for the 4-6 month trek that I am going to be setting out on.

At this time, I am just hear to get information that would be useful for me and the others that would be going with me.
