Last day in NY

New York, United States

So for our last day in New York after waking up with somewhat of a hangover...we decided we would take it easy. After heading of to an Irish Bar to catch the second half of the United game we decided we couldnt stay until the end because it was full of dirty mancs!! So after returning to our favourite park yet again we decided to head down to Wall street to have a look round. The buidings are all so huge and close together all be it for in only a small space. The NYSE itself is definatately a sight to be seen standing just opposite as guy claiming everyone should write in and get Paris Hilton as President! After wandering round wall street we decided to hop on the subway over to Brooklyn so we could walk back over the Brooklyn Bridge. This was definately the most incredible view I have ever seen and I'm pretty sure even though we took pictures they will not do any justice to what we saw! We spent our last night just hanging out in the Hostel since we knew it would be an early start today since we want to watch the Liverpool match before we head up to Boston and a totally new city for us to explore...So I guess I'll talk to you all from Boston and add sopme more pictures soon!!

One tequila two tequila didnt need three to hit the floor!!

New York, United States

So we decided to have a slightly hectic yesterday and relax a little bit...that was the plan anyway until I spoke to Steve who happened to be in town. So we met for a coffee and ended up going for Lunch with him and his son, which was such a good laugh as usual with plans to meet up again in Chicago and hopefully get the box for the bulls again!! After that we decided we would relax a little and go chill in our favourite little park for a while before of course heading to a pub for a drink or two... and once again we ended up in an Irish pub! After heading back to the hostel about our newly made friend/roomate cassie text asking if we wanted to party a little... so who are we to say no! Will fully admit I ended up a little drunk after a couple of tequilas when Sunil seemed fine...so back to the hostel and bed to find a new roommate, John from Austrailia, another nice guy. Now all I have to deal with is this hangover...
Speak soon xxx

Is a million blocks too many...

New York, United States

Ok, so we have arrived in NYC and overcome a couple of issues already, you know broken plane, missing luggage, questionable hostel(well at first) but we have had a good nights sleep and have began our journey. So we are in NYC (obviously) and are staying on 95th so what a better way to see the city than walking through central park, times square down to the empire state building and 5th avenue. Although sooo exhausted tonight we are just chillin in the hostel with our roommate (a nice girl who has lent us her laptop originally from california) So as I said we have walked round a lot and giving that we are on a budget we have tried to do as much for as little as possible. Went to FAO Schwartz where Sunil tried to convince me that a $900 stuffed dinosaur was a good investment, when i wanted the $50 hungry caterpillar...needless to say we left empty handed! We strolled through 2 parts of central park on our way since the weather has been great and then kind of done some touristy things without being a tourist. Went to grand central station to sort out our first trains only to find that we needed to be in penn station (and didnt see a single train in GCS) and of course found an Irish pub with all the footy (sorry soccer) games on!! All in all been a busy and tiring day so are just resting up for tomorrow when we will meet a friend of mine or will go down to wall street and brooklyn bridge! Anyway Sunil wants the laptop so will stop boring u all with our first day of travels and will update again soon. Photos will follow!!
