Day 17 and 18 Fort Worth, Texas

Cowboys, bull riding, and more cowboys!
Fort Worth
is definitley the home of the original cowboy. Almost everyone had on cowboy boots, very tight wranglers, and a cowboy hat. We went to a Honky Tonk at a place called Billy Bob's. It was a bar the size of a warehouse that had a mechanical bull and a real rodeo. While watching the rodeo we were appauled by the way they treat the bulls so we decided to leave early. I (Kelly) learned a valuable lesson - don't wear high heels to a rodeo! As we were leaving I slipped down the bleachers, fell in front of the whole crowd, tried to grab onto a one armed girl (who kai is convinced was in some sort of tractor accident), and my show went flying into the rodeo pit. After the Rodeo Clown gave me my shoe back we graciously left the Honky Tonk and stopped at the first Jack in the Box we saw. On our second day in
Fort Worth
we went to the Stockyards where I was victorius over Kai in our first ever, and last, Armadillo race. Kai obviously does not know how to control an Armadillo or blow on it's butt to make it run. After racing Armadillos, we decided the only racing we wanted to do was out of Texas. We packed up, put on our PJs, and headed west, as fast as we could. We made it to New Mexico by 1:00am, unscathed by the crazy hick fair we stopped at along the way (Let's just say we didn't stand out in our PJ's), or being pulled over and searched by the Texas State Trooper.

Send a Compliment
That armadillo is oddly adorable. I'll expect one in the mail sometime soon.
