That's a good point. There's actuallly a minor issue that we're trying to solve by having the city finder work that way, but I agree that it should be improved. Here is some background:

Imagine you're writing a blog entry from Butte, Montana. Here are some ways you could type the location:

Butte
Butte, MT
Butte, Montana
Butte, Montana, USA
Butte, United States
...

That's a lot to parse, and it's only a problem in the USA. After all, noplace else really makes use of state names in city names. You're in Chamonix, France. You'd just never bother saying that you're "Chamonix, Haute Alpes, France" in a blog post.

So, as you noticed, we took the lazy way out and simply stripped anything right of the comma. This works great in most places, but fails completely in the Spanish Speaking world. South of the border, there are 75 Guadalajaras and dozens of places called San Antonio, San Juan and Buenavista. Pulling those places off of a list is nearly impossible. Especially if we don't let you filter things down by a country name.

Anyway, I'll see what I can do to fix this. In the mean time, you may have to resort to simply picking places off the map instead of typing them in sometimes.

Thanks again for bringing this up. Good luck in your travels!
