Tour around Kannur
Cannanore
,
India
A lighthouse
A British Cannon
A lovely view
Another nice view
Chris imitating a statue
Us walking through the fort
A man showing off his catch to us!
A heron or a stork ??
Today we hired a rick-shaw to give us a tour around Kannur stopping at St. Angelo Fort which was constructed in 1505 by the Dutch where there are still canons left behind by the British and underground jails.
A lovely Mangrove walk, but too many Mozzies
A pretty bridge
A View from the top of the fort
The Fort
Graffiti on leaves
3 men fishing with rubber rings!
We then went to Parassinikadavu Temple which is famous for a religious dance performed every morning and evening. However, we didn’t understand it and due to being pushed and shoved constantly we soon went outside and watched the locals bathe themselves in the river at the bottom; I think it was considered Holy water??
