I'm Kara's step-dad. She sent me to your blog because I lived in South Africa (1955-1956) as a kid. Though my memories are faded, the photo of Table Mountain popped out at me. I'm sure Cape Town is great place to be.

I lived in Pietermaritzburg where my father was doing a sabatical breeding corn (Maize) at the University of Natal. We took a train trip down the coast to Cape Town.

Our church in Allentown sends a Mission to South Africa northwest of Joburg. So, I've added your blog to my "favorites" and look forward to reading about your adventures there.
