It's New To Me - Blogabond

I moved to Ottawa to attend school in 2007. Considering I traveled from the U.S. to get here, I think it counts as a trip!

I did hit up a couple of spots along the way. Toronto was among these. People heard of the last place I lived (off the coast of BC) and automatically raved about the "wonders" or Toronto. It was a BIG CITY, wasn't it? Wasn't I IMPRESSED?

I grew up in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York...so, no.

What about all the shopping? All the things to do?!

Again, I've been to true big cities.

All in all, I found that Toronto failed to live up to its hype.

Ottawa, in spite of being the nation's capital, is grossly overlooked. I've heard one time too many that it's "no Toronto". I'm tired of the looks of people when I say thank goodness.

So, my first couple of entries will be an Ode to Ottawa.
