After waking up at noon we packed a picnic and spent R200 on a 30min taxi ride to wild side backpackers, buffalo bay. The beach there is beautiful. The backpackers sits around the coast from the main beach, on a completely deserted stretch of sand and rocks and sea, with tidal pools and a river that ran red. We lay int he sun, clambered on rocks and then went swimming in the river. It was a bit off-putting swimming in blood red water but i think it was just because of the Mineral run-off from the soil further up... I hope.

We were accompanied by a little dog for our walk along the entire length of the beach to the river and tidal pools, but he didn't fancy swimming so instead just stood and waited for us on the other side of the river. For an hour! Before following us alll the way home :)

Back at the backpackers we drank wine, ate bread and cheese, read cosmo, made a fire and played pool until we got a lift back to Knysna from one of the malawians who run the backpackers.

Such a perfect day :)

Today was a lot less eventful and consisted of sleeping, skyping and watching dvds in my pyjamas
