Trave now.....(Italy)

Florence, Italy

Best known of all Florence's treasures, this glorious bridge was the only one spared by the retreating Germans in the summer of 1944. Over the centuries flooding unfortunately, took its toll; few traces of the 10th century bridge remain. Today's bridge, built in the middle of the 14th century, was originally filled with a wide variety of shops that included wool merchants and greengrocers. The most famous bridge in Florence and also the oldest, this structure with three stone arches replaced a wooden bridge, which had crossed the Arno River at this spot since Roman times.

Send a Compliment

Hi
I love to travel and nowadays am planning to make a month tour of Europe. Italy and Paris is my favorite destinations to visit. There I would love to enjoy most of the adventurous activities like trekking, skiing, hiking, etc. There I would also like to experience wine tasting in wine tour. Am going to book a tour: http://www.ekoventure.com/places/europe-italy-tuscany-3702
How is this tour??
