Finally did something

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Well, I didn't think that I would find something as cool as this right next to my parents house. DON'T WORRY, I'm sure that I'm going to not be as crazy enthusiastic about this blogging business in a few weeks, and I won't be jamming everyone's inbox for like the next 10 months... BUT... We finally did some interesting stuff today.

Got up at a not totally stupid hour, about 11am-ish and had a nice Islam friendly breakfast of bacon and eggs. Then Sarah and I finally got ourselves motivated to go and see something. Now you can see the Petronas twin towers from the balcony at my folks joint, but there is this sweet park around the outside of them, which is also near a shopping centre, so we decided that we would pop and have a looky see. The photos are reasonably self explanatory. My favourite is the one of the Mesjid or Mosque as we would call it. Sarah took the same photo as me, but hers was better. To spite her I have deleted it and reformatted my memory card. Only joking, I'm pretty sure that this one is hers!

Other cool photos that we have are from the middle of the park, where there is a water feature that Jamie Durie would get a tent pole over

There is also this weird sort of public swimming pool in the very middle of this park, mostly the people using it were kids and their parents were around the sides shouting things at them in Bahasa.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the day was having people ask me to take their photo from the water park part towards the towers. They were strange little men (shorter than me) and they seemed to be very grateful that I too the camera and took the picture. The second one was a dude that just walked up to me with his friend and asked if he could have a picture with me. Now, considering that I currently look like this

it's little wonder, I mean I do have my Ewan McGregor face on, but hey, it felt weird... Very weird.

After posing for my fans, Sarah and I went to this gallery in the towers and saw and exhibition by Latiff Mohidin

for those who are interested, but it was not really our kind of thing. I mean it was kinda emo, so Sarah liked it, like blood had been smudged around on canvass and called "The hollow winter's bitch lover" but it was kinda cool to see some cultural activity.

Dinner saw us have Spanish tapas in a part of town called Bangsar Baru.

Apparently it's ex-pat city out there and it did show somewhat. None the less it was nice food and the bar got quite busy as we stayed. Of course Ross and Julie, the parental droids made the mistake of recounting all of their irresponsibility stories, so now I won't even feel a bit guilty when I get deported from various places for a variety of crimes :)

Hope all are well
