Yeah, that's really lame that the widget never worked for you. I was actually checking your blog every few days, and the map was showing up fine in both IE and FireFox. It doesn't make much sense why it would refuse to show for you, unless you have some sort of popup or ad blocker installed on your browser.

If you're looking for alternatives, you might want to check out Platial's MapKit ( http://www.platial.com ). They'll get you something similar, although without the lines connecting the dots. Their map widget uses Flash, so it might be able to get around whatever was stopping your maps from displaying.
