Hey Bro! Congrats on finding a House and a guitar!
That sounds like a scary earthquake. I've managed to sleep through most of the earthquakes I should have fealt in Portland, Oregon. Except for one I was riding my motorcycle and didn't notice, and one I thought was a garbage truck hitting the apartment building while I was on the couch watching TV. But none of those were THAT big.
Your pictures make Sassafrass look like a beautiful place to visit. It looks a lot like the same climate as the mountains east of Portland, just with some different plants. I didn't know Eucalyptus trees grew that large.
