Since running aground is ALWAYS blamed on the captain, I thought I should put up a defense on the grounding immediately on take-off last night...Our channel is REALLY shallow and we almost always rub the bottom when we're entering or exiting the channel...on the hand, if I'd had a drink in my hand when we left the dock, I would have been better able to concentrate.
