Map isn't quite working

However, now that we've racked up a few countries in our travels we have noticed that (a) the line along the route has stopped working when you get to NZ/Oz, and (b) the map's default position is still over south america, so people have to drag west to see the rest of the route.

Is there any way to remedy this?
