Well, your pictures evoked lots of memories of Egypt for me! Yes, we were often hot, sweaty and dusty there! I spent a lot of time in the garbage cities working with charities who help the people who live and work there. I met the most amazing sisters and priests of the Coptic Church who work amongst the poor their whole lives!!! I'm so glad you got to see a little of that side of Cairo.

And, yes....the Hilton is nice too! We always knew where the nearest 5 star hotel was when we went into Cairo so we could use their bathrooms!
