七股鹽田
Cigu Oyster Fields a bit North of Tainan City
Interesting note: the schedule and maps say 七股鹽田, 鹽田 "yen2 tian2" literally means salt fields. There might have been salt production somewhere near, but we went to see oyster farming fields.

Cigu Township, Tainan County

Ferry boat ride through waters and a visit to a sand island. Ferry boat captain demonstrated net tossing. Guide said that the name 七股 was a historic reference to seven shareholders who may have been early pioneers of the local area.
