Kuranda Scenic Railway

Cairns, Australia

Chris says "We went on a skyrail other a big rainforest on big hills and saw lots of birds. There was two stops before the last stop there was a bored walk on the first stop with a massive tree 37m high the next stop had the amazing barron falls".

Sally says "We went to the birdworld Kuranda we saw sun conure,Blue and gold macaw,Indian ringneck parakeet,Nicobar pigeon,Barbary dove,Scarlet macaw,Lution ringneck,Tri-coloured munia,Java sparrow,Zebra finch,Star finch,Crimson finch,Galah,Red-tailed black cockatoo,Rainbow lorikeet,Metallic starling,Magpie lark"

Before we went to the parks we had some lunch Shaun and Karen enjoyed their first Kangaroo burger which was really tasty.

The trip back down on the Kuranda Express was hot and sticky, but we had some fantastic views on the way back to Cairns. The children enjoyed counting the 15 tunnels that had been hand dug through the mountains.

When we eventually arrived back at Mission Beach we stopped at the pasta restaurant for dinner. Then headed home after a very long 13 hours for a quick shower and bed.
