Aqaba to Luxor?
I'm going to be traveling in the Middle East this summer and I'd like to find out if it's possible (relatively speaking) to get from Aqaba to
Luxor
without going to
Cairo
first ... anyone?

I've done this in the reverse direction, so it's certainly possible. I guess it depends on how much time you have, and whether you're planning to spend any time on the Sinai.
You can get a ferry from Aqaba to Nuweiba, then make your way south to Sharm el Shaik and catch another ferry across to Hurghada. This is the way to do it if you're planning some time in Dahab anyway. From Hurgada, you'll get busses to
Luxor
and other southern cities.
I don't know of a direct ferry from Aqaba to Hurghada, but it's worth looking into if you're not planning to stop along the way.
Good luck!
