Your photos are probably very large, even if your camera is 3.5 mega pixels they can be 1.5 mbs each !!

try shrinking them on a pc before you upload them, try reducing their size to 50% and reduce the quality. you don't need maximum resolution for a webpage.

Good point. It's worth noting that Blogabond doesn't store any full sized images. We scale them down to fit inside an 800x800 pixel box, then throw away the original that you upload. So it really makes sense to scale them down before uploading them over a slow connection.
