Guinness

Went to lunch with my cousin Kathy and then took the tour of the Guinness brewery. It was a great tour and it gets even better with a free pint at the top at the gravity bar with a 360 degree view of Dublin. After walking through Phoenix Park and watching some cricket practice we went to the...

Where no one knows my name

Okay, so the massive-big-trip-where-I’m-going-to-see-everything has begun! I survived the packing experience with only a mildly traumatic sensation of ‘there’s something I’m forgetting’. First aid kit, tampons (sorry to all male readers), shampoo, a travel towel, a compass (always necessary,...

Day 2

Friday took us to Merion Square and the famous statue of Oscar Wilde, the Museum of Art, to hop-on, hop-off bus, and the Kilmainham Gaol -- definitely one of the most interesting tours we've taken, and very much like the tour of Robin Island in [[South-Africa]] -- tales of politics, prisoners,...

St.Patricks Cathedral

I am starting not far off from me, in the St. Patricks Cathedral and I want this journey to take me up to Jerusalem, to the holy land. I will also visit Rome and many Christian holy places. I am starting off in Dublin then. Saint Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin, also known as The National...

Day 1 (Continued)

After dropping our bags off at our hotel -- nothing to write home about but serviceable and within walking distance of the heart of Dublin -- we took a short name and ventured out, first walking along the Liffey, where we caught sight of the new bridge by Calatrava, shaped like a harp, the...

Jumping in Dublin

3 days for an extended weekend in Ireland. A perfect way to get prepared to the upcoming big train trip. A perfect way to get to know how Whisky is made and Guiness is prepared. And of course, a perfect way to jump !!
