Toll-receipt from ancient Greece

If you notice, it says "ass-load." Now, I don't know about you guys, but I say "blah blah blah...ass-load of stuff to do..." Perhaps this is where it came from? This is only my hypothesis...I'm sure it's in the OED somewhere if I felt so ambitious...
