Dancing in the streets

Older people just seem to dance all over the streets. As soon as it gets dark, hundreds of people come out and just dance on the streets... Newcomers just mimic the dance and eventually catch on. I wanted to give it a go but was told it would just be embarrassing. I intend to join before I leave though
