A castle a clock and cheap drinks.

Our train out of Berlin took us to the beautiful city of Prague in the Czech Republic. We were continually amazed at the intricate beauty of the baroque and Gothic buildings that defines this city. We had a look at the famous Castle that overlooks the city and imagined that we were the...

BAD and I mean REALLY bad start to Prague.

Wow. I can’t believe how bad our start to Prague has been. The city is nice, don’t get me wrong but by geez I am not a fan of the people here (I’m sorry to say) they will rip you off blind at every opportunity and have no shame in doing so. As our train was now running an hour and a half...

Don't do your washing in Prague!

So it's been almost two weeks since my last pithy comment, again delayed due to lack of internet and time. We made it to Prague via the train. It was a well decked out train, with power-points, so I was able to play Tetris all the way there! Woo hoo. Prague was not really like I expected...

Prague, a beautiful city if not overrun by tourists...

We took the overnight train to Prague from Krakow. the train left at 10:20 and we got in at about 7:30 or so... Adam was clearly having trouble sleeping and my chainsaw-like snoring didn't help. He got angry at his lack of sleep and the bear sounds coming from the bunk below and he lost his...

More wanderings in Prague

Today we took a tour of Prague, checking out the sights from the wonderfully Gothic Tyn Cathedral, the astronomical clock and the incredible St Vitus' Cathedral, which was worth queueing in the rain for. Some of us took a chance on the Torture Museum in the afternoon, which was just...

Wandering in Prague

No time to catch our breath in Munich: we headed straight on for our two days in Prague. We spent some time on the Charles Bridge, which was heavily crowded with tourists and souvenir vendors. We spent our free day wandering the beautiful old streets and grounds of the castle,...
