This federal immigration station at the mouth of the Hudson River opened on January 1, 1892 and was closed on November 12, 1954, but not before 12 million immigrants were inspected there by the US Bureau of Immigration (Immigration and Naturalization Service).

Yankee Stadium

The Yankees are playing their final season at Yankee Stadium as they're building a new stadium next door (with fewer seats, as they've had to make the seats larger to accomodate the increasing size of their supporters).
