Chill Day in Cuzco
Cuzco, Peru
,
Peru
So today was gonna be the day I finally got my bus tickets and entrance tickets for
Machu
Picchu then visit Sacsayhuaman &
Pisac
. But that didn't exactly go as planned. I did however get my two tickets, beforenoon, so now I'm all set to see
Machu
Picchu! I decided to just stay in town and relax which I think was a good choice. Now I have a reason to come back, to see all the ruins around
Cuzco
. Then come back again to visit the north and again to visit the south, and again to visit the central part of Peru :). For lunch I got the alpaca strogonoff again because it's soooo good. By this time I had sandals on which discouraged the shoe cleaning people from bugging me. Score! One type down 4 others to go. Funny thing is I kept running into this one kid who was selling paintings. He would go through the exact same speech everytime he came across me haha, even he started to laugh. After this I walked around some more just sitting in random places it was a very slow day. Uuummm I was starting to get hungry again, it was about 4pm so I decided to try my luck with CUY! I found this nice little place where it was 10 soles cheaper. OKay so, overall... It was really weird, I was so not prepaired for it. I don't know if it was seeing a guinnea pig cut in half the long ways laying on my plate or if it was just the whole severed head sitting right there between it's body.... Also, I was kinda expecting more meat than organs but eh I at least got through half the guinnea pig. w00t. After I ate as much as I could I ordered a
Pisco
sour and woooow this was the strongest one I've had all week.
Well, I have to be up at 5:00am and catch my 5:30am taxi to Poroy where I'll depart from the train station around 6:50am. TO
Machu
PICCHU!
Goodnight!
