My Stuff
May 15, 2011 - Wateredge & Ambleside
Ambleside
,
United Kingdom
I had the day off today, so I walked down past
Ambleside
to Wateredge at the top of
Windermere
Lake and then back up into
Ambleside
where I met Sarah after her shift at 2pm. It rained lightly the entire walk, but it wasn't too much of a nuicance or enough to get me too wet, even without an unbrella.
On my way back to
Ambleside
from Wateredge, I saw a horse-drawn carriage heading to a
Wedding
in
Rydal
that was drawn by 2 beautiful, black Fresian horses. I wish I had gotten a better photo, but by the time I got my camera out they had already past me.
Sarah and I met up at one of the bookstores in
Ambleside
and then had lunch at Cafe Treff, where I was finally able to get a chai latte! And it was good too, as was the warm brie and cranberry
Sandwich
:) After lunch, it had finally stopped raining and we ambled around
Ambleside
and then back to Nab Cottage.
I probably won't put a blog up tomorrow, since there won't be anything of interest going on. I'll be working most of the day from 10-4, and probably just go for a run before dinner. Both of us have Tuesday off though, so we'll be heading up to
Keswick
to see the stone
Circle
at Castlerigg and check out the town, so I'll post on Tuesday...
