Sarah, from Austrailia, arrived today and, since I had the afternoon off, we walked into
Grasmere
along the same route I took a couple of days ago. We stopped at the Rowan Tree Cafe on the river across from wordsworth's resting place and had tea and cake. Sarah and I are going to get on just great! I think we were destined to meet because she came here from Wiston, which was a half mile down the road from Feufield Farm and was originally where I was planning to go until Feufield contacted me and asked if I'd come help. Odd that we'd both end up here, but we have a lot in common so we should have fun sightseeing together :) She's with HelpX too and knows some good Hosts she's stayed with in
Wales
that I can try and arrange stays with when I get back to the UK from Ireland.
I have tomorrow off, but it's supposed to rain heavily tomorrow so I'll probably just go to
Ambleside
and find a bookstore and coffee shop to wile the day away in...or maybe go to a movie, something I haven't done since I left the States.
