día número dos - Blogabond

Today I finally saw KUMIKO! We met up at Puerta del Sol near a statue of a bear and tree around 3:00pm. Granted this was after me not getting her message that she couldn't meet at 12:30 and had to make it 3:00 but in the end it was for the better because in those few hours I got lost. lol. First I forgot to look up how to say 'statue of a bear' or 'bear statue' in Spanish so because taxi drivers in Spain don't really speak any English I had to draw a picture of the statue haha. Luckily my driver could make out my lame excuse drawing of a bear and pointed me to what I would later find out to be the right direction but due to my stupidity completely got myself lost. In all actuality the statue is a LOT smaller than it should be. I was expecting a sorta have-to-look-up size statue so i walked RIGHT passed it and got myself lost... after eventually making my way back to the city Center I spot the tiny-ass statue haha. During my time lost I turned on my internet on my phone to figure out where I was and where I should go consequently getting the late message from Kumiko about meeting at 3:00 instead of 12:30. lol. Her message was sent at the time we were suppose to meet so thank god I checked. After more walking, getting STARBUCKS, and sitting I call Kumiko and we finally meet up at the statue. She and I ended up just walking around Madrid. Madrid is very pretty. The parks are gorgeous and the architecture is outstanding. We talked briefly about possibly going to Barcelona over the weekend so we'll be doing some research on that later. Well I officially know how hot it gets in Madrid and how out of shape I am haha. The heat is killing me but I love it!

Well I'm back in my room and about to order room service and watch a show. Oh by the way, my hotel has a Pillow Menu. haha. I can order different types of Pillows.
