Greetings From Bangkok

Bangkok, Thailand

Could our trip have got off to a more smug start? Not only do we have 365 days of holiday left, but our first meal in Bangkok was at a five star hotel (due to the immeasurable benefits of Murphs extensive extended family) and our first day spent lounging around a 5 star pool.

Visited the Grand Palace, Temples and a giant reclining buddha.

Disappointed by only having seen about 5 lady boys but upset by the amount of sex tourists disguised as normal looking men.

We're heading to Chang Mai tonight on a dream of a 12 hour overnight bus. can't wait!

yes the extensive murphy family is great, isnt it?! (seeing i am part of that extensive family of course i think that!) haha
u failed to mention the sleazy tuk-tuk driver!! deary me he was scary!! =S
and what about our lovely trip to the Vietnam embassay... hahaha that was something to remember. i mean overpaying for a taxi who took us in the longest possible way, in rush hour too, was not fun! AND with 4 of us squished in the back with helen with all the space in the world in the front seat did not help at all! when we finally got to the embassy what do u know, it was closed! and cause the traffic was so bad we decided to walk back to the hotel! after like 30 mins we took a taxi the rest of the way back. when our taxi driver dropped us off across the hotel we saw some baby elephants! and of course helen wanted to feed them so i was nice and payed for it! =P

well thats all i think that u missed out! hehe i'm glad that u guys are having a good time.. cant wait to see u again when u come to awesome melbourne!

take care, safe travels
