After hitting ‘snooze’ to many times we did surprisingly get up at 4:45am and drove into Uluru to see the amazing Ayers Rock for
Sunrise
with a ton of other tourists.

Although it is a rock, it’s still pretty impressive and thought we would make the most of our entry fee and walk around the base 10.2kms and do a couple of the extra walks to the waterhole and a gorge.

The mighty Ayers Rock
Exhausting day and very hot with not much shelter from the sun, so for the rest of the day we were a bit like zombies. In the afternoon we checked into Ayers Rock campsite which although it was a paid sight, was nice to just chill the afternoon away in the pool before heading back out to Uluru to see sunset although that was a non-starter much like last night but an excuse for another beer didn’t hurt.
