Day 2 of our Connections Experience
Kununurra
,
Australia
Well day 1 of our tour was awesome. There is only 13 of us on the tour and 10 of these people are stopping in
Broome
. There is only 3 of us going on to Perth. We have to set up tents every night and we have to then pack them up again in the morning.
We stopped in
Adelaide
River where we took a break and photographed the buffallo out of "Crocodile
Dundee
". His name is Charlie. Headed on to Edith Falls where we swam and had lunch. I was very excited I got to see a road train - took lots of pics of them - I think they are just amazing. There was a grog stop at
Katherine
and then we drove to Timber Creek where we set up camp and had dinner by the river which is home to baby crocodiles. No camp fire just torch light - at least there was warm showers!
Day 2 started very early and when we got to the NT/WA border we had to switch our watches back by 1.5hrs and so our day seems to get longer as we go along! Just took a visit to Lake Argyle and had a look at one of the homesteads which used to house a rural farming family. It was amazing the amount of "old stuff" they have in the museum to look at.
Now we are at
Kununurra
having lunch and a break before a long drive ahead of us into the Bungle Bungles where we will camp for 2 nights and have cold showers....oh how I am looking forward to that!
