Almost sorta on our way

Houston, United States

Well we’re officially out of Austin. The past week was crazy getting the house packed and sold, all our arrangements squared away, and farewells outa the way. *note to self…don’t plan to pack and sell a house in Texas in June ><*

Friday night we had a going away shindig at Neal and Summer’s which was everything I could of asked for. That evening totally reinforced my belief that love is one of the most important and powerful forces we’ll ever have the pleasure to experience. Seriously…if all our world leaders just spent a night cuddling on a big squishy couch we could totally make this peace thing work.

I’m currently writing from my MIL’s in Houston, and tonight we will be holed up in a hotel by the airport so we won’t have to fight traffic to make our flight to NY in the morning.

Tomorrow we visit COSM, Chapel of the Sacred Mirrors, the gallery/community gathering space created by the artist Alex Grey and his wife. If you aren’t familiar with his work go bonk yourself on the head for missing out on something wonderful for so long and then visit this web page www.cosm.org

Tomorrow I might actually have some pictures to share…OMG!

Love yall!
Amanda

P.S. TY TY TY TY to all our friends, family, and neighbors who helped out the past week...ya'll rawk ;)

Springboard Houston

Houston, United States

Made our 1st stop here in Houston to drop off my kiddo and see the Slade side of the family. Had yummy food at Hollywood resteraunt and now enjoying the wonderful Marquis Hotel. Giggle this place is awful... just like the review said it would be. 1st room wasn't made up and there were huge dead crushed roaches on the floor... Next room reaked of smoke but we can deal with that!!! Tomorrow.. off to NY!

Seperated at Birth?

San Antonio, United States

I was looking through my camera when I stumbled across these pictures.

The duo bear a frighteningly striking resemblance to each other. I have come to the conclusion that they were separated at birth.

Thank you to everyone who came to visit me on my last day in San Antonio until August. I've been gone about eight hours and I already miss everyone so much. Well with the exception of this guy, he never came to say goodbye.

No worries John. I understand you were tired and I still love ya.

My flight to Barcelona leaves on June 20 and on the way back I depart from Istanbul on August 14 which should put me back in San Antonio around 11:00p on the fourteenth. I will have my laptop the entire time so if you want to reach you can leave me a comment on here or by one of the following methods:

Peace&Love,
