photo thumbnails?

That's actually a pretty good idea. I wrote Blogabond with a few assumptions about how people would use photos inside of a blog entry, but it turns out that not everybody does things the way I had intended. There are definitely two schools of thought with regard to photos: the "representitive few shots" school, and the "photo gallery with words" school. As you've noticed, we don't do a very good job of accomodating that 2nd case.

So what I'll do, when I get a chance, is exactly what you asked for: give users a way to drop photos into blog entries as thumnails. It shouldn't be much work, but I'll warn you now that I'm a bit busy with other projects at the moment. I'll definitely keep you posted though.

Ok, I was mistaken. Turned out I had a few minutes to spare after all, so I went ahead and implemented embeddable thumbnails.

When writing an entry, you'll notice an extra insert button on the photos now. I've also taken the liberty of trying those thumbnails out on a couple of your posts just to make sure that they look OK.
