Bejing

Beijing, China

Got to Beijing this morning. 12 hour train ride. The trains are really nice, i was in a compartment with four beds, but there were only two people. The train travels at 130 km/h so its very fast. Today I just walked around tianenmen square... didn't do much. Tomorrow I'll go to the forbidden city.

Good to see some pics...
The square looks deserted... everyone is working?

How do the locals treat a tall white guy? Curiosity or indifference?

The bar scenes look like you could be in Oz!! The pub culture transcends all geography? The beer, the great leveler of society... sounds like a quote from Homer!!

Do all the products in China say,
"Made in USA"?

I heard a review on a book written by a woman who didn't buy anything made in China for her family for a year...
It was very challenging to put it mildly.
