Adelaide Zoo
Adelaide
,
Australia
The kids decided that they wanted to go to the zoo today so we headed back to the city again. We had hoped to see Panda's but it seems their enclosure won't be finished until the end of 2009. Chris and Sally got to feed kangaroos in the children's zoo, and enjoyed looking at all the animals. The zoo wasn't that big but is undergoing a large revamp so will be really great once that is finished.
We headed out of the city to Port
Adelaide
and encountered a rather strange Aboriginal woman who was less than amusing! The town itself is also undergoing a lot of development and will probably look totally different in 5-10 years. We drove along the coast back to
Glenelg
and passed some really nice areas along the way. Henley and Waterside were really pretty with lake or ocean views. We stopped at The Buffalo restaurant which is a replica of one of the first migrant ships from England, after a huge dinner we were allowed to explore the rest of the ship which had been turned into a museum.

Well I never, we always wondered what happened to Chris after we lost touch when we moved from Barnstaple up to
Wales
. We must have scared him soo much he went to the other side of the world to be safe. He was also at our wedding Karen - although you might not remember that!!!
Glad you're having a lovely time- and we are sooo sad it's not that warm. We have had a lovely day today - to make up for it pouring all Monday. Kieran has been doing his community challenge for the Scouts - helping the old folk with their shopping all day. He got lots of tips and really enjoyed himself.
We went to Godrevy yesterday with Maureen and saw loads of seals basking on the beach. It was quite windy but I dipped my toes in the water and then had to dash back and grab my shoes so they didn't get washed away. We weren't as brave as some - daft surfers who were well and truely out in the surf.
Well must go - off to hydro- running tonight.
Enjoy a barbie - well you must be due another one soon - you haven't had many.

Hellloooo, Lovely to see you earlier on skype. Have just caught up with all your news on your blog & looks like your having loads of fun. We all like the look of your Santuary development....looks quite similar to Pegasus Bay near here, just a little more developed. Cambourne doesn't stand a chance really in comparison! Have fun xxx
