My host parents and I exploring the lovely Bribie Island. My FIRST japanese meal ever - negami yakatori = chicken on a stick. Shannan, my host sister, and I boogeying it up at the Treasury Casino in downtown Brisbane! Yes, there is a baby kangaroo hanging out of that mama kangaroo's pouch! We saw these little guys, and several other baby kangaroos at The Big Pineapple. Goodbye Big Pineapple! The gingerbread man - the icon of The Ginger Factory. This aboriginal man taught my 3rd graders about aboriginal things and showed us how to correctly throw a returning boomerang! Our SWEET ride to the ferry launch!! We were expecting a van.... but HAPPILY surprised! On the ferry to Tangalooma! Ahh! So excited!
