On the way across we stopped at many National Parks including the Grand Canyon, How I wished we had more time & we could spend the night in a cabin on the rim.

Now 33 years later, we leave with 3 generations of Blanchard Girls to fulfill that young girls' dream.

Frid: Ennis to Childress (picture) to Dumas TX (night)

SAT: Dumas - drive to Mesa Verdi (spend night in park cabin)

- Las Vegas (spend night)

Wed. - drive to Grand Canyon (drive tour) check in cabin. (walk to highest point in Grand Canyon where Billy and I hiked to on trip with G&G) highest point in Grand Canyon (Point Imperial)

THURS: Grand Canyon horseback trail ride. (evening in Grand Canyon)

FRI: stay in Grand Canyon and then ride out @ 11am - on to Petrified Forest.
(OPTIONAL-if you would like, we can stay in Canyon & go to the SKYWALK. skip Petrified Forest Night @ Gallup, NM - where we stayed with G&G)

SAT: Gallop - Continental Divide (stop for picture)- on to Roswell, NM (for Victoria) won't have much time there, mostly for pictures. - then on to Calsbad Caverns for afternoon tour.
Stay for night flight of bats @ dusk. (we did this with G&G)

Sun: Carlsbad - Alamo - San Antonio, TX. (Stay night in San Antonio)

MON: San Antonio - Baton Rouge.
