Vysokohorská přirážka

Po dvou dnech jsme došli do vesnice Namche Bazar. Nebylo to ani moc daleko, sotva dvacet pět kilometrů, ale hodně do kopce. Příroda je krásná, asi jako ve slovenských Tatrách, ale je tu všechno nějak větší a hlavně vyšší. Ze svých výletů do Alp jsem zvyklý, že kolem dvou a půl kilometru nadmořské výšky končí všechna Flora. Ani obyčejná tráva tam neroste, natož kytky a stromy. A tady ve výšce 3500 metrů sklízejí ze svých záhonků zelí a cibuli.

Dobrou indikací výšky jsou pro turisty ceny. Čokoládová tyčinka Mars stojí napřed stovku, o kus výš sto deset a po chvíli už sto patnáct.

Alpine Surcharge

After two days we reached a village named Namche Bazar. It was not a long walking distance, barely sixteen Miles, but up the hill. The nature is beautiful, similar to Slovakian Tatras, but everything is bigger here, and oh, so higher. From my trips to Alps I am used that in 8200 feet above the sea all Flora ends. There is not even ordinary grass, not speaking about flowers or trees. And here, in 11500 feet, they harvest cabbage and onion from their patches.

Good altitude indication for tourists are prices. Mars chocolate bar started at one hundred, a bit higher it was hundred and ten, and after a while it was hundred and fifteen.
