Toulouse According to Amber

Toulouse, France

We arrived in Toulouse yesterday and wandered for a bit for a hotel room or hostel and finally picked a place after com g to the realization that France is a lot more expensive than Spain. We went for dinner at an Indian resturant which we didn't really know until we got our food as we couldn't read the menu and just picked something with a few words we recognized.
Today after sleeping in for a bit we wandered around the town and went to see one of the cathedral's. Being Sunday we thought it might be busy and had no intention of going inside but we were a little surprised to find what looked like a huge garage sale around the church on a Sunday. There was a mix of things you would find at your typical European market, su h as shirts and skirts, purses and jewlery but there was also things like a huge cart full of shoes that you had to try and make a pair, underwear, socks cd's, and DVD's. B ut the best things were the people who had rows and rows of old probably broken power tools and old farm tools that no one under 50 has ever seen. After walking for a while longer we decided to rent some bikes and explore the city, it didn't seem like there was to much to see and the things people pointed out for us weren't very nice.

After touring the city we found a new hotel for a little cheaper and then went to see a movie. I've been feeling a little home sick so it was nice to hear some English, I was so comfortable in the theatre and caught up in the movie that I actually had to remind myself at the end if the movie we were in France.

Tomorrow we are off to another city for some beach and sun.

An ordinary couple with stereotypical "boring" jobs is ready for an adventure before life takes them captive and there is no escaping it.

We hope our blog helps you keep in touch with us and what we are up to but it's also a way for us to stay connected with you. So leave us some comments...
