Time to go

Mooloolaba, Australia

A few decisions have been made in the past couple of days. We bought a car (the little shit box) and moved back to Matt's place readying our self for setting of on a road trip. Just one thing left to choose... north or south.

We got the little shit box from a local garage she is a well looked after Mitsubishi Lancer CC (1995) lots to where ever it is we chose to go. I will upload some pics of her soon.

While waiting in Mooloolaba we visited some local attractions, Australia zoo and Under Water World to name two. We also made our way up in to the hills surrounding and walked in some rain forest, found a 'English" themed pub, i was hoping for a lovely warm flat pint of bitter but alas the search continues.

Well dont have any more time to explain stuff on here stuff to organize ready for the big off on Sunday morning.

First hos-tel

Maroochydore, Australia

Today as we had been kicked out of our friends house (Tigger) we made the journey along the coast to Maroochydore to a lovely little hostel run by a bizarre and overly friendly lady. Very little to do here but we are using this time to buy maps and plan the rest of the journey. we have been looking in to second hand cars and what not. Very unlikely this is what we will do but its an idea for now. The weather is starting to get back to Normal now after the crazy storms and stuff at the beginning of the week, flooding and what not. i thing the decision to move north was a VERY good one. the most rain since 1996 or summin' like that.

The day before the day after

Mooloolaba, Australia

Arrived in Landsborough at 12:24 (how accurate am I!) set off to Mooloolaba to spend some time dossing with a friend (Trigger) at hs mums place. lovely place. with a lovely dog! (will attach a photo asap!) she is called Karma, sweetest dog ever! well apart from Toby that is. Did very little here.. well apart from seeing a giant pineapple! (look at the photos on Picasa) Also went on various walk with the dog and managed to see two dolphins and a turtle. very happy about that :)

Gold Rush

Surfers Paradise, Australia

Today meant the first bit of travel for me, well not really travel as it was just about 2 hours on a train and a 10 min walk, to the God Coast. Well Surfers Paradise... well actually we were staying in Broadbeach, but its practically next to each other and Surfers sounds better.

While in Surfers Paradise I stayed with a couple of friends (Saggy Bum and Ness) they were on holiday to s we all stayed in a little holiday apartment for 5 days. It was lovely there and we managed to get most of the left over sunshine and surf. Spending most of our days walking the beaches, having a few dips in the sea and deciding what lumps of dead animal we were going to throw on the bbq that night. It was bliss and so nice to catch up with old friends.

Alas it had to come to an end.
